About Pure Focus
SHOCKWAVE THERAPY CLINIC
What is Shockwave Therapy?
Shockwave therapy is a safe way of transmitting high energy sound or pressure waves into the body at sites of damaged tissue, to increase the local blood supply and allow the body to stimulate its natural repair and healing processes. In doing so it can reduce pain associated with the damaged tissue.
What conditions do we treat?
Shockwave therapy has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions including tendinopathies and tendon calcification.
Shockwaves can be either focused or radial
Focused devices deliver higher energy deeper into the body (up to 12.5cm), offering treatments for a wider range of conditions to that of radial shockwaves.

Testimonial
I was diagnosed with tendinopathy in the middle of 2024 and after various treatments and a referral to my orthopaedic specialist he suggested that Shockwave Therapy may be suitable for me. I was put in touch with the Pure Focus Clinic which offered Shockwave Therapy local to me. In a phone call with the Clinic manager, she explained how the therapy works and the benefit I could expect. I was impressed with what I was told, and agreed to a fourweek course, with one session each week.
On my first visit I was introduced to a qualified physiotherapist who explained in detail how the therapy worked and what I could expect from each session. Both members of the team were professional, and I was very impressed with their knowledge and attitude. I explained that I was suffering from extreme pain from the tendons surrounding my right hip, which had not been relieved by various medications.
The treatment lasted between 5-10 minutes and was completely painless. Throughout the therapy the physiotherapist who operated the equipment kept me fully informed about it. I couldn’t believe the difference the first session had made to my pain level- it had almost disappeared, and I couldn’t wait for the remaining sessions. The team were confident in the benefits I could expect from the therapy, and this came through during my treatment. I looked forward to my sessions and they were always friendly and welcoming on each occasion. There was continuous dialogue between us during therapy regarding pain levels and comfort. Each session served to reinforce the feeling of no pain.
Pure Focus Clinic, the providers of Shockwave Therapy, supplied lasting solution to the eradication of the pain I had endured for some considerable time. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Pure Focus Clinic to anyone who has unresolved pain issues that haven’t been treatable by traditional methods.
My rating for Shockwave Therapy will be 5 stars and a similar number of stars for the attention that Karen and Rachel gave me.
